Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge

Leeds and Wakefield will meet once again in the annual Boxing Day clash, the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 11.30am.
The two sides had mixed fortunes last season with Wakefield enjoying a strong year under new Head Coach Chris Chester and reaching the Super 8 play offs whilst it was the Rhinos who found themselves in the Qualifiers.
In Super League last season both teams won their respective away games however it was Wakefield who took the spoils in the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge last Christmas.
Philip Murphy, Director of the Wetherby Whaler Group, said: “Sport is in our blood here at the Wetherby Whaler. We had a ball supporting last year’s Festive Challenge where the Wildcats just edged out the Rhinos and are delighted to sponsor the 2016 match. They’re two great teams and I am certain it will be another fantastic occasion, perhaps the weather will be a little kinder to us this year!”
The seats and standing positions of the season ticket holders from the 2016 season will be held until 5pm on Saturday 3rd December. Tickets for juniors are just £5 if purchased from the ticket office until 1pm on Christmas Eve or online until midnight on Christmas Day. For Rhinos 2016 and 2017 members, the advance purchase discount sees tickets start from just £15 for adults and from £10 for concessions.
There is also a special Family ticket package for the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge which is available only until 1pm on Christmas Eve. Please note these will not be available to purchase at all online, they will only available in store or over the phone. The family ticket is for two adult and two juniors for £40 for a standing ticket or £50 for a seat.
