Wetherby Whaler celebrates national recognition for Yorkshire!
Friday 23rd March, 2018
The Wetherby Whaler Group is delighted to have contributed, albeit in a small way, to Wetherby being named as one of the ‘Best Places to Live 2018’!
The Whaler has welcomed findings from The Sunday Times in its Best Places to Live 2018 list that recognised Yorkshire and a number of its town and cities. York was recognised as the top place to live in the UK, while Wetherby also got a special mention.
The list referenced the Wetherby Whaler, which is located on Market Place, Wetherby, as one of the town’s eateries. The Group of Fish & Chip takeaways and restaurants also has a branch in York, on York Business Park.
The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live 2018 list is based on various statistics ranging from school league tables and crime rates to house prices and further data from Countrywide, the UK’s largest residential estate agency.
Caroline Murphy, Director of Wetherby Whaler, said: “The findings by The Sunday Times are welcome news to Yorkshire and its people, which only confirms what we already knew about this fantastic region! There are many great places to live and do business in across Yorkshire, including York and Wetherby, where we have a strong presence and following.
We are committed to the region and have invested heavily in new and existing sites throughout Yorkshire to improve our experience to customers and visitors to our towns and cities.
It was nice to get a small mention in the publication, and even better news that Yorkshire received significant praise and recognition!”
Wetherby Whaler operates five restaurants and takeaways in Yorkshire, in Guiseley, Pudsey, Wakefield, Wetherby and York.
