BACK WHERE OUR STORY BEGAN
Our Tadcaster takeaway holds a special place in the Wetherby Whaler story. It was here, on Stutton Road, that Janine and Phillip Murphy began their family business in 1969, after purchasing the premises from their aunt and uncle.
They ran the business together for 20 years before selling it in 1989 to purchase the first Wetherby Whaler in Wetherby. In 2020, we were proud to return to our roots, bringing the Tadcaster premises back into the family and giving them a full refurbishment.
Today, you can enjoy our traditional Yorkshire fish and chips at the very place where it all began.
